As our Spring Summer 2013 Brand Video launches today, we created a questionnaire for the director, Christelle de Castro, to give you a view into what went into its creation.
WHEN: This was a concept I pitched to Max & Erin back in April! It took a few months of pre-production, a shoot in December, and another 2 months in post. Insane how it can take 6 months to finish a 72-second piece! So glad we can finally share it with the world!
WHAT: My goal was to capture the SUNO woman in a powerful, modern, yet playful way. I wanted to mirror the brand’s footprint in fashion by creating an elevated & visually amplified imaginary world. Ultimately, if the viewers are smiling, I find that very SUNO.
WHY: People expect a lot from SUNO. Seasonally, the brand has proven to bring a certain “wow” factor to the table. Naturally, I wanted to make a fun film that really captured the brand’s energy. I think the girls we casted couldn’t have been more perfect, and of course having Blood Orange carry the video was the icing on the cake!

*An enormous thank you goes out to everyone involved in the production of this video, we couldn’t have made it happen without you! Also, to Blood Orange, for providing his awesome track ”Forget It” *
For the 2012 holiday season, SUNO has launched a limited edition pajama sets available exclusively on www.sunony.com. The SUNO Holiday Pajamas come in six different colorways, each made from signature SUNO heritage prints.
Curating the SUNO Online shop for the first time is our friend TAMU MCPHERSON, who took some time out of her busy schedule as Editor in Chief of Grazia.it (and of her own All the Pretty Birds) to show us what she loves from the Fall collection.

In December of 2011, SUNO released its first sneaker collection. Made in Kenya with excess collection fabrics and recycled rubber, each sneaker is a limited edition release, and is exclusive to SUNO Online. For each pair purchased, a donation of 15% of the price is made to Kenya’s Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a sanctuary for endangered elephants and rhinos.
Back by demand, we’ve now released our second edition of SUNO sneakers, and this time we’ve asked our friends to send us photos of their own pairs on their travels this summer. Scroll down to see what Meredith Melling Burke, Caroline Issa, Pamela Love, Daphne Javitch, Hannah Bronfman, Elettra Wiedemann, Christelle de Castro, Natalie Joos, Kyleigh Kuhn and the lovely Susie Bubble sent us.
